Speed of Fan versus Speed of Motor with Belt Drives
Sponsored Links
Belt driven fans are common in heating, ventilation and cooling systems. The speed of a belt driven fan versus the speed of the motor can be calculated as
dF nF = dM nM
where
dF = pulley diameter fan (inch, mm)
nF = speed of fan (rpm - rounds per minute)
dM = pulley diameter motor (inch, mm)
nM = speed of fan (rpm - rounds per minute)
