ASHRAE is an international organization operated for the
exclusive purpose of advancing the arts and sciences of HVAC & R (heating, ventilation,
air-conditioning, and refrigeration), the allied arts and sciences, and the related human factors
for the benefit of the public.
ASHRAE has over 175 standards, some written
jointly with ANSI and IES. ASHRAE standards
